Interior design concept for a modern-chinese-styled restaurant & meeting hall, China. Developer : Risen Development Ltd. Shanghai, China. Besign-Team : Senior Architects Sitian Xiang, Leonard Milford, Hemmer Xu, Annie Li. The concept (Khaled Bouharrour) is based on 'The fish' with a direct relation to the elements of air and water, using the interactions in between mouvement, transperancy, reflection and light. The fish skin texture is translated as a visual effect in form of a pronounced 'chevron' designed wooden floor and as a 3D-structured ceiling. The mouvement is expressed by the circular construction of multiple scale elements, which are arranged around a lightwell with a spiral shaped lighting.
